Which motifs are possible?
There are no limits to the possibilities when it comes to having a picture painted . Feel free to send me several photos , which I will then combine into a single design.
Before I create the commissioned artwork, you'll receive one or more drafts so you can decide whether you like the motif. Once you're satisfied with the draft for the desired image, I'll begin working on your painting .
When do I pay for the picture?
Upon order confirmation, you pay for your artwork in full. I will then begin creating the commissioned artwork, and you will receive a photo of the work during the painting process and upon completion . If you aren't completely satisfied with the painting, I will make further adjustments .
Format, technique & style.
Commissioned artworks are available in any size and in a variety of styles . Before we begin, we'll decide on the format and material I'll use to create your artwork.
I'd be happy to advise you on the right technique. The following materials are available, among others: oil paint, acrylic paint, pastels, pencil, tempera paint, pigments, varnishes, and watercolors. Since all painting techniques are priced equally, there's no additional charge .
What payment options are available to me?
Online bank transfer. After order confirmation, you will receive an invoice from me. After that, the implementation will take place.
Cash payment. You are also welcome to pay for your commissioned artwork in cash .
How long is the delivery time?
Delivery time depends on the complexity and size of the commissioned artwork. For less complex motifs using quick-drying paints, the waiting time is approximately 14 days . An additional three to five business days must be added for framing and shipping of the commissioned artwork .
More elaborate oil paintings require a little longer to dry before they are ready for shipping. In these cases, the waiting time is between 14 and 30 days , plus shipping time. Insured shipping is available within Germany and worldwide.
What do I need for an order request?
When you send me an inquiry, I need the desired size of the image and a description of the desired motif. It's best if you send me the desired motif via email .
You are also welcome to visit me in my studio in Erfurt. Each piece is created according to a template . My detailed and meticulous approach guarantees the highest artistic quality and a unique commissioned painting.

How should I store an oil painting?
Oil paintings should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated room at a constant temperature (ideally 18–21°C) and humidity (approximately 45–55%). Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and extreme temperature fluctuations.
How do I clean a dusty oil painting?
Light dust can be gently removed with a soft, dry brush (e.g., goat hair) or a microfiber cloth. Do not apply pressure. Never use water, cleaning agents, or household remedies.
Can I clean a dirty or yellowed painting myself?
No. The cleaning of heavily soiled or yellowed oil paintings should be left to a professional restorer. Incorrect cleaning attempts can permanently damage the artwork.
Should an oil painting be framed?
Yes. A frame protects the painting from mechanical damage and environmental influences. Make sure the painting is not directly against the glass surface when using glazing (e.g., with spacers or museum glass).
How do I protect an oil painting from sunlight and UV radiation?
Do not hang oil paintings in direct sunlight. UV radiation can bleach colors and make the varnish brittle. Indirect, diffused lighting or special UV-filtering glasses or lamps are ideal.
How often should a painting be re-varnished?
A varnish protects the painting and intensifies the colors. Over the decades, it can yellow or become brittle. Renewal should only be performed by a professional conservator—approximately every 50 to 100 years, depending on the condition.
What should I do if there is damage such as cracks or peeling paint?
Contact a qualified restoration workshop immediately. Never attempt to repair such damage yourself—this could cause irreparable damage to the artwork.
Does it make sense to insure an oil painting?
Yes. Art insurance is particularly advisable for valuable or sentimentally significant paintings. Document the work (photos, description, provenance) and keep all records carefully.

How should I store an acrylic painting?
Acrylic paintings should be stored in a dry place, protected from light, and at a constant room temperature (ideally 18–22°C). Ensure that the humidity is not too high (approximately 45–55%) to prevent mold growth.
How do I clean a dusty acrylic painting?
Remove dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a clean, soft brush. Gently wipe the surface. Do not use water or detergent, as acrylic paint can be sensitive to moisture.
Can I wipe an acrylic painting with a damp cloth?
Only to a limited extent. If the painting is coated with a protective varnish, a slightly damp cloth can be used carefully (!) – but only in specific areas and without applying pressure. If there is no varnish, avoid using moisture to avoid damaging the paint.
Should an acrylic painting be framed?
A frame is helpful for protecting the painting from impact, dust, and UV radiation—especially for unsealed works. A glass frame is also recommended for acrylic on paper or cardboard (with spacers to prevent contact).
How do I protect an acrylic painting from light and UV rays?
Avoid direct sunlight. Acrylic paints can fade or discolor over time due to UV rays. UV-protective glazing or special museum glass will help preserve the painting for the long term.
Does an acrylic painting need to be varnished?
Not mandatory, but recommended. A varnish protects the surface from dust, UV light, and mechanical influences. It can significantly improve the appearance of glossy or heavily pigmented paintings, especially.
What to do if the surface is damaged?
Scratches, chips, or dull spots should be assessed by a professional (restorer or experienced artist). Attempts to repair them yourself with varnish or adhesives can do more harm than good.
Does insurance for acrylic paintings make sense?
Yes, especially if it has a higher material or sentimental value. Document the work with photos, information about the artist, technique, and year of creation—and keep proof of purchase or authenticity.
