Have your wedding portrait painted
The art of wedding painting: an unforgettable keepsake
Awedding is a highly intimate and unique moment in a couple's life and it is a great honor for me as an artist to be invited to capture the special atmosphere of this day. Sometimes live on location, but mostly after the wedding in my studio.
At a wedding, the first thing you think about is the couple, the dress, the photographer, the food - there's a lot to prepare and discuss.
A lot of time and energy goes into this day and its preparations and then suddenly it's all over. What remains are many beautiful memories that should never fade. And that's where I come in. There are an infinite number of beautiful photos of a wedding that capture moments.
But this one picture, in which both are happy, in which the deep connection between the two is shown, where more than a single moment is captured - an atmosphere, the essence of this love and what both look at again and again and are happily transported back - that is what I can create with my painting. That's why couples come to me. And I am very grateful for this trust. In the following, I will shed light on some aspects of how my clients achieve their very individual wedding portrait and questions that are worth asking on the way to their dream painting.
The creative process of a wedding portrait
The whole thing is a creative process in which not everything needs to be clear from the beginning, your picture is created piece by piece.

Wedding portrait painted with bridal couple
What should the couple or the giver think about before commissioning a wedding portrait?
Every couple is unique and this should be reflected in this special painting. This work of art is not just about outward appearances, but about the connection, personalities and feelings of the couple. Depicting these is a fine art and makes the painting look lively and authentic. It is these small details that show their relationship. The way they look at each other, hold hands, small gestures of love.
- Remember your wedding day, all those details and feelings.
- What would you like to see reflected in your picture?
- What do you want your picture to convey to you when you look at it?
Choose the right template
- Which wedding picture best reflects the couple? Or are there several pictures that should be combined into one?
- Both should really like the picture and feel positive about it. That is very important.
- For me, a good quality template is important.

It is also important to me how large your picture should be and what style you prefer.
Should it be a very classic and realistic portrait or something modern, perhaps even abstract?
Would you like to capture a more intimate moment or a classic frontal portrait?
Perhaps you would like to be surprised? Are there symbols that are important to you, elements of the decoration, the bridal bouquet, the color scheme?
