Freedom of Thought and Feeling
My painting brings together elements that at first glance do not seem to belong together: literature and personal experience, science and spirituality, architecture and nature, social reality and imagination.
I'm not interested in their breakup, but in what's happening between them.
These relationships give rise to open visual systems. Figures, symbols, and memories encounter gestural painting, color, and abstract compositions. The images do not follow a linear narrative nor do they illustrate any ideas. Different realities are allowed to coexist, contradict one another, and form new connections.

The tension between the original and painterly independence
My painting emerges from the tension between reference and autonomy. Photographic or real-world references are dissolved in the process and transformed into autonomous pictorial structures in which material, color, and density convey the meaning.
As a process-based practice, my work navigates the space between autonomous painting and its role as a form of translation within a social context—between mediation, production, and authorship.
