How long does a painting reproduction last?
There are no limits to the durability of classic oil and modern acrylic paints. Oil paints and acrylic paints are very lightfast. In older paintings, the varnish darkens after approx. 100 years. For very old paintings, it makes sense to refresh the surface so that the colors shine again. For an elaborate and faithful art copy, I use materials and colors of the respective period. FOR EXAMPLE. Glue-primed canvas, mixing the colors with pigments. This sometimes requires extensive research in advance.
Where is the best place to hang a painting reproduction?
To ensure that the picture does not suffer over many years, it makes sense not to expose it to direct sunlight for long periods of time. Pictures like a shady place with moderate temperature fluctuations, and the humidity should remain reasonably constant. Faithful reproductions of original paintings also enjoy changing places and walls, so that they can delight the viewer's loving gaze again and again. I would be happy to measure your walls on site to find the ideal size.
What formats are possible?
I can paint your painting reproduction in any size. Starting with the small format 15 x 15 cm, through medium formats, to oversized formats, such as 300 x 400 cm. As a trained theater painter, I can also paint your picture in facade size, e.g., 500 square meters. Your reproduction will be created exactly to the proportional size of the original picture if you wish. I am also happy to paint it in the size of your choice.
Which painting reproduction for which room?
I would be happy to paint your painting reproduction to match your rooms. This means that you send me a photo of your rooms and together we select the best picture for your walls. Sometimes a golden frame is more suitable than a black frame. Or I can design the picture in the colors of your choice. There are no limits to your imagination. I would be happy to assist you in your search to find the right painting.

The best prerequisites for a successful painting are many years of experience, a confident handling of the materials and the artist's spatial imagination. Other prerequisites are the research that is sometimes necessary in advance, the relevant budget and the appropriate time frame for realization. That's why I ask: does the motif work? To what extent does the original match the painting? In what context will the painting hang?
How do I transport and store a painting reproduction?
It is best to store a painting for a longer period of time, wrapped in bubble wrap, in a dark and dry place. To protect the painting from dust and other influences, it makes sense to repack it. Packaging in bubble wrap and cardboard wrapping is suitable for transportation. The corners should be protected. This way you and your descendants will be able to enjoy your painting for a long time to come.
Is a painting reproduction the same as an original?
A painting reproduction can be very close to the original. This requires research and the stylistically confident use of the materials and colors employed. A painting reproduction is an image and an attempt to depict the original as accurately as possible. The similarity achieved is very impressive.
