My painting moves between abstraction and the dissolution of representational elements. Starting from photographic or real-world references, I create works that are transformed during the process and transformed into independent visual structures.
The focus is not on representation, but on the development of an independent image—shaped by color, material, and density. Lines, planes, and gestural strokes create a physical presence that transcends the subject matter. The works emerge through an open, process-based approach. Every stroke remains visible, is layered over, corrected, and continued. In this way, the images evolve into independent positions in which control and intuition are mutually dependent.

Painting as Reality
The works are created in the studio through an open process—by layering, correcting, and consolidating. Every step of the process remains visible and becomes part of the image.
Color and material take on a presence of their own in this process. It is not about finding a quick solution, but rather about gradually developing form and tension. The result is works that are not reduced to a single motif, but stand as independent painterly statements.
